Actor helps publicize charity seeking cure for Lou Gehrig’s disease
Each month, Cause Celeb highlights a celebrity’s work on behalf of a specific cause. This month we speak with David Annable, actor on ABC’s soap opera “Brothers and Sisters,” about his involvement with Project A.L.S.
Question: Can you explain what Project A.L.S. is and outline its goals and mission?
Answer: Project A.L.S. is a nonprofit organization trying to raise awareness about Lou Gehrig’s disease, or A.L.S, and other diseases involving the brain. What’s so special about Project A.L.S. is that they get all the best doctors from around the country, sit them down in a room together … (and say) let’s figure out a way to cure this. The organization has been around 10 years and they’ve raised $37 million.

Again Dave didn´t get an Emmy nomination although he was on the submission tapes for the episode 36 hours. It´s such a shame. Hopefully he´ll get nominated next year.

FOR all you ladies who dream of bedding “Brothers and Sisters” hottie Dave Annable , we have some insight on what it might be like. A spy at the Oakley/Suzuki Celebrity Ride Day event in Los Angeles last week overheard the actor telling co-star Matthew Rhys that riding a motorcycle “is like having sex.” Our source heard him explain: “You can’t be too aggressive but can’t be overcautious.”

The all-star cast of hit drama Brothers And Sisters traded sunny California for Europe this week as Ontario-born Luke Macfarlane and his hunky co-stars Balthazar Getty and Dave Annable jetted into Rome for the city’s annual fiction festival.
As well as checking out the culture on offer in the beautiful Italian capital, the 28-year-old star - who’s revealed he and his character Scotty share a similar sense of humour - has had a chance to mingle with the A list, too.
