Dave Annable eyes role in Anna Faris film

Dave Annable, who stars on ABC’s “Brothers and Sisters,” is in negotiations to join “What’s Your Number?” the Anna Faris romantic comedy at New Regency.

Mark Mylod is directing “Number,” which is being produced by Beau Flynn and Tripp Vinson of Contrafilm.

“Number” centers on a woman (Faris) who treks through her sexual past to find Mr. Right, exploring the idea of sexual quotas and whether such numbers matter. Jennifer Crittenden and Gabrielle Allan wrote the script based on Karyn Bosnak’s book.

Annable steps into the shoes initially worn by Matt Bomer, who dropped out because of a scheduling conflict with his hit USA show “White Collar.” Annable will play Faris’ dream guy.

Among the actors lined up as Faris’ exes are Chris Evans, Zachary Quinto and Joel McHale.

Annable, repped by CAA and manager Sue Leibman, has been in working in TV for the several years, also starring in Fox’s “Reunion” before “Brothers.” “Number” is his first movie since 2004′s “Little Black Book.”

Guy in San Francisco: What’s coming up on Brothers & Sisters?
Newlyweds, schmewlyweds. Poor Justin and Rebecca just can’t find the happiness they both clearly deserve—and deserve together!—resulting in an all-too-early trial separation.

The executive producer of Brothers & Sisters has dismissed claims that Rebecca (Emily VanCamp) and Justin (Dave Annable) are about to split up.

David Marshall Grant told Entertainment Weekly that the couple will face challenges in their relationship but are otherwise happy together.

“They both have competing future possibilities in front of them that would necessitate a geographical split,” he explained.

“It’s not a trial separation that involves an emotional schism. It just involves the fact that they would have to be in two different places for their work. They’re in good shape otherwise.”

Brothers and Sisters – Season 5 News

If you like Sarah and Luc together on Brothers & Sisters, then you’re going to love what I’m about to tell you…

Gilles Marini, who plays Sarah’s Harlequin-esque French beau, will be returning next season as a full-time series regular, according to showrunner David Marshall Grant. But while Sarah will be gaining a steady companion, she’ll be losing a sibling: Grant also confirms that Luke Grimes has completed his run as Walker half-brother Ryan.

News of the casting tweaks comes as the ABC drama is preparing to say goodbye to Rob Lowe. But Grant insists no further departures are planned. “There may be an episode or two that some [characters] might not be in,” he says, “but aside from Rob [and Luke], the [entire] cast is returning.”

Brothers & Sisters wraps its fourth season on May 16.
Thoughts? Happy Sarah’s officially off the market? And will you miss Ryan? Hit the comments!

Other Finale Teasers

Kristin Dos Santos of E! Online reports that the finale is going to have a huge twist, just as we expect on Brothers and Sisters. After that big secret revealed on the two-hour special, the series keeps bringing on surprise after surprise.

“In the season finale, there will be a shocker so monumental, it will leave multiple major characters hanging in the balance, according to sources,” she reports. “It is unlike anything you have seen on this series.”

What’s more, next season won’t just be Robert-less. We’re going to see a lot less of the other Brothers and Sisters cast members, as they’ll be appearing only sporadically on episodes. The sources went on to say that three characters will receive big news, that means they won’t be visible throughout the show as much.

Apparently, the big three are: Saul (Ron Rifkin), Justin (Dave Annable) and Rebecca (Emily VanCamp). There’s also word that Kitty (Calista Flockhart) is part of that list. Well, it’s all thanks to “budgetary belt-tightening and also contract negotiations.”

So far, the people behind Brothers and Sisters are still sorting out the entirety of next season. We haven’t wrapped up this one yet, so there are a lot of changes underway.
